What is Text Messaging?

Text messaging, or Short Message Service (SMS), is a means by which you can send small notes to friends from your mobile to theirs. Messages are typed using letters found on the number pad of your mobile phone and once composed, the message can be sent to someone else’s mobile phone. Messages arrive quickly, usually within minutes, and arrive just like phone calls do with an alert given at the receiving end upon arrival of a new message. Most phones make text messaging quick and easy to do.
